We are Jimmy & Caroline – the faces behind Camper Vamper!

Our own vanlife story began back in 2017, when we borrowed a friend’s campervan and set off to explore Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. It was our first experience of travelling and living in a van for any length of time and, while we weren’t quite sure what to expect, within the first 24 hours we were both completely hooked. Not long after that trip, having already carried out some smaller van conversion projects for work, festivals and weekends away, we decided it was time to build our own full campervan.

With over 35 years of combined experience across construction and design, that first conversion brought together two things we already loved – creating beautiful, practical spaces and the freedom that comes with travelling by campervan. It ultimately became the foundation for Camper Vamper and the conversions we create today.

From the beginning, we’ve believed that choosing a campervan shouldn’t mean compromising on interior style. A van may be a much smaller space than a traditional home, but we believe it can still feel warm, comfortable and beautifully designed.

That philosophy continues to shape every Camper Vamper conversion today – creating practical spaces for travelling and exploring, while still giving you that little feeling of home wherever you happen to park.
